If you wish to venture outside the resort for a meal, these are a few of our favorite spots nearby.
Distance: 3.7 miles (9 minutes)
Cuisine: This is a fun little breakfast spot we like to go to. The interior has a cozy diner style and if it’s a nice day you can sit out on the patio and eat your breakfast while enjoying a view of the lake.
Distance: 9 miles (14 minutes)
Cuisine: If you like pizza, this is a must eat. We love Pappo’s for the pizza, but they also offer any type of Italian food you may be craving.
Distance: 3.8 miles (9 minutes)
Cuisine: Located in the heart of the Bagnell Dam Strip, This place has great food and a fun, laid back atmosphere. They’re known for seafood, but have a host of other great options to choose from as well.
bar & grill
One of the absolute best parts about the Ozarks are the vibrant waterfront bars. Here are a few of our favorite haunts.
Distance: 4.3 miles (10 minutes)
There is no doubt that you are at the lake and better be ready to have a good time as soon as you step foot on the dock. A fun drinking and hang out spot.
Distance: 14.5 miles (24 minutes)
This joint has it all. Live music, eclectic beachfront atmosphere, & in the last year, they seriously upped their food game. Oh and great drinks, obviously.
Distance: 7.7 miles (14 minutes)
A fantastic pool, always delicious food and drinks, and live entertainment make this lakeside party place a great choice for a night out.
Shopping
It doesn’t matter what you’re into - antiques, boutiques, touristy shops or outlets - the Ozarks has it all.
Distance: 12 miles (17 minutes)
This collection of about twenty stores is a boutique shopper’s dream come true. A couple antique stores are sprinkled throughout as well. Ten out of ten, would recommend!
Distance: 3.6 miles (8 minutes)
Bagnell Dam is a treat to see, especially when they are releasing water. At the end of the dam lies an eccentric collection of restaurants, clothing stores, candy and ice cream parlors, an arcade, and more.
Distance: 8.4 miles (16 minutes)
With more than 80 stores to choose from, these factory outlets offer a little something for everyone. You could easily spend an entire day here without even realizing it.
OUTDOORS
If exploring the great outdoors is your thing, we have several fantastic recommendations for you.
Distance: 24.9 miles (31 minutes)
Take the hour long tour of the Bridal Cave and learn all about the Native American history that led to its name. Explore the caves to experience the pristine beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites that have formed over millions of years.
Distance: 24.8 miles (31 minutes)
Hiking aficionados - this one’s for you. The Ha Ha Tonka State Park has trails in abundance to explore. Along the pathways you’ll find castle ruins, caves, a natural bridge, sheer bluffs, a spring, and a few picnic sites for a relaxing lunch break.
Distance: 2.5 miles (6 minutes)
Nothing pairs better with a crisp fall day than a jaunt around a golf course. The Lodge of Four Seasons owns two nearby golf courses, The Ridge and The Cove. Both are excellent choices for a few hours of fun in the sun.
family friendly
It’s not strictly necessary to have children to participate in these activities, so one and all feel free to have at it. We won’t judge!
Distance: 8 miles (13 minutes)
Go-Kart riding is basically an essential part of childhood. Take a trip to Miner Mike’s to let your inner race car driver out for a spin. They also feature an indoor jungle gym and an arcade.
Distance: 4.3 miles (8 minutes)
Put your competitive nature to the test with a good old fashioned game of mini-golf. With two 18-hole courses to choose from, an afternoon of fun awaits you at sugar creek.

Rain or shine, you can enjoy this indoor water park. Take a ride down the lazy river, or a soak in the giant whirlpool, or play in the three-story wilderness tree house.
